Mim and Mady were born in the late 60s, spent the 70s wearing school uniform and the 80s a variety of colourful hairstyles and going to University. During the 90s Mim made multi-disciplinary kinetic installations funded by the Arts council and designed some theatre & film sets. Mady designed theatre and dance sets for, among others, Derek Jarman and Shobana Jeyasing, she also designed a few film sets, which is where she met Mim. They formed Minx. Minx is a production design company which can hang drapes, hire sofas and sprinkle glitter on any number of Pop promos and has done for artists such as Jools Holland, Elvis Costello and Skunk Anansie. We have also made some great sets for TV such as Blue Yellow for a BBC/FR2 TV co-production performed by Sylvie Guillem; TV Commercials such as the Manhattan Loft Company cinema commercial for Mustoe, Merriman, Herring and Levi; and theatre sets such as Sweetboys for Clairerussensemble at The Place London and for their international tour. We have a strong team of builders, decorators and props people that we bring in for each project. Madeleine Morris
After studying a degree in Art Conservation at Camberwell School of Arts Mady decided to pursue a love of the theatre and design by completing an MA at The Slade in Theatre Design. It was this move that led her to design the theatre set for Derek Jarman's west end adaptation of Waiting For Godot and from there to sets for fashion shows and dance companies. She co-founded Minx design and has since designed sets for every imaginable type of production. Miriam Sorrentino

Mim studied Fine Art at Middlesex University developing fully immersive environments creating sets and filling them with mechanical parts, projections, changes of temperature and smells. This led on to Arts Council funding for installation pieces in exhibitions, mechanized and projected theatre sets for Battersea Arts Centre, and sets for BFI independent films. Since co-founding Minx she has been working on a wide variety of set designs and is studying Representation and Modernity part time at UNL fitting it in around her work.
